うるしブローチ/URUSHI Brooch

2004年に制作。装身具は一般に「身につけるもの」だが、このブローチは身体の内部からはみ出した自分を表現する。木にうるしを施し、修行僧のように懸命に磨き、光沢を出した。

URUSHI Brooch made in 2004. The jewelry is generally “to wear”, but this brooch expresses “the myself” from the inside of the body.These brooches were made of wood and lacquered in URUSHI. And I brushed very hard like a trainee monk and gave it a luster.
